In math, we are continuing work on place value and review of basic additions. You can help your child by ensuring that they are proficient with adding numbers to sums of twenty.
In English, we are working on creating more descriptive sentences that use better vocabulary. Ask your child for some examples of how to make a sentence more interesting.
In Spanish we have reviewed colours and working on discussing fruits and vegetables. Students are being encouraged to really try and use Spanish to speak in full sentences.
In science, we are looking at sedimentary characteristics and formation of sedimentary rocks.
In social studies, we are have worked on identifying the world continents and oceans. We are also starting to look at the social studies textures with a focus on how textbooks are organized (table of contents, glossary, index, chapters).
