September 27

Yesterday we had our Terry Fox run! Our class did an amazing job keeping going just like Terry did!

In math we are still looking at representing place value in numbers to 1000. We are focusing on how numbers sit on a number line!

In Spanish we continue to work with vocabulary and important sentences to talk about foods, preferences, etc.

In English, we have read the book Shi-shi-etko and are looking at how our memories are important. This will also tie in with upcoming Orange Shirt Day (Thursday) and grade 3 discussions about Indigenous peoples and residential schools.

In social studies we are still studying quality of life. We have compared quality of life in both city and country locations in Peru.

In science we have been still studying igneous rocks.

Thank you to all parents for taking the time to meet with me last week to discuss learning needs for your child. We are in for a terrific year!
