Thank you to everyone for returning swimming forms!
In order for Swimming to be a success we are still requiring more volunteers to help us out. Thank you to everyone who has come in to school get the volunteer clearance started, I am hoping these clearances will come through in time. If any cleared volunteers are able to volunteer for other classes it would be appreciated. Everyone in class has done a terrific job in learning this week!
Ask your child about the communication skills we discussed on Wednesday (eye contact, body language, two-way conversations)
In math we have been looking at rounding numbers to the nearest tenth (decena). For example: 15 ->20
67->70, 32 -> 30. We are also exploring situations where rounding is appropriate. This could be a good additional conversation at hime. Discuss with your child situations in which you use rounding!
In English we continued to look at the story of Shi-shi-etko. You can ask your child to explain what they put in their memory bag and why they chose those items/ideas.
In Spanish, we are putting together our speaking about foods into longer more complex sentences.
In social studies we continue to study quality of life.
In science, we have begun to look at metamorphic rocks.
I am really proud of how everyone in our class is coming together to be helpful and build an inclusive community.
